November 1, 2008 Newsletter

Welcome to the first day of November!
Don't forget to get out and vote on Tuesday.
Please don't let the weather or long lines keep you away.
Please note a misleading flyer is circulating across the country and reported by CBS Evening News.
It states because of the expected record turnout Republicans should vote on the 4th and Democrats should vote on Wednesday, Nov. 5th--DON'T BE FOOLED....GO OUT AND VOTE ON NOVEMBER 4TH.
You may want to go online and download a copy of the ballot issues to save time.Talk to Me had an early release the week of October 22, 2008.
I started off my book tour in Knoxville, TN. The next day, my husband and I drove to Greensboro, NC.
Later that same day, I sign copies of my books at Ideas Coffee Shop. More on that trip below.
***Harris Communications is considering Talk to Me for its catalog geared for Deaf and hearing impaired customers. I'll keep you posted.
RSVP FOR MY ROMANCE PARTY... fun, food, prizes, refreshments, and romance with a Christian theme...no erotica in the building. If you can't come, send a spy.

I was honored to receive my first review of Talk to Me from a reader, Leslie Hudson, in Baltimore, MD:Leslie Hudson said: October 22nd, 2008 8:17 pm.Hi Pat, I just read Talk to Me! What an awesome story. You had me laughing out loud. You are definitely gifted to write! And the end - to funny! Blessings to you & thanks again.

If you're near, stop by the following signing. Cover model, Fred Williams, will make an appearance and also sign copies of MY book, although Fred thinks the novel is about him:

The trip to North Carolina was not without disappointment. The organizer of the Christian Author Expo canceled a day before the event. One big casuality was the bookseller who purchased more than $3,000 worth of authors' books.
I'm asking anyone who would like an autograph copy of Talk to Me and Guilty of Love, to please contact the store and purchase a few copies.
They would appreciate it since they agreed Not to return my books. I would be grateful, too.
